Conrad-Johnson's flagship preamplifier, the ACT2 line stage, recently brought new materials technology and refined power supply design to the composite triode circuit approach pioneered in our landmark ART preamplifier, once again elevating the state of the art.

As has been our tradition at conrad-johnson, these technological advances are now offered in a more cost effective design, the CT5 composite triode preamplifier. These same improvements have been incorporated into the CT5 circuitry, including the newly developed CJD teflon capacitors, which are used extensively in the audio circuit and power supplies of the CT5.

With the same component parts quality and circuit that differs only in the number of devices comprising the composite triode and the size of the power supply reservoirs, the CT5 bears an umistakable family resemblence to its bigger brother, the ACT2.
